STATE BANK CORP. APPOINTS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Arizona, October 13, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – State Bank Corp. (OTCBB:SBAZ)(“Company”) and its subsidiary Mohave State Bank (“Bank”) today announced the appointment of Craig Wenner to the position of Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Wenner began his career in 1998 as an Audit Associate with Crowe Chizek & Company in Grand Rapids, MI. In 2001, Mr. Wenner became VP/Controller for Bank of the Southwest in Tempe, AZ and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2004. After Bank of the Southwest was sold, Mr. Wenner consulted with three different de novo banks between 2006 and 2008. In 2009, Mr. Wenner was appointed as SVP/Chief Financial Officer of Towne Bank of Arizona where he remained until the bank was closed in May 2010.

Mr. Wenner holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.
